Marej retko kad uspeva da veže za redom 2 turnira, uzeo je Rim to mu je dosta za ovu godinu bar što se šljake tiče, takodje ne očekujem da stigne do finala, mada bi Novak najbolje prošao sa njim u potencijalnom finalu.

Ma on voli da je u centru pažnje, a ima je svakako. Na kraju žuta štampa iz Australije je pisala posle onog Novakovog gafa sa Bernardesom u Rimu.... eto da je Kirjos to uradio, bio bi kažnjen sigurno... i mnogo ozbiljniji su to preneli. Tako da se Nik praktično samo nadovezao, a priznaćemo da je jedva dočekao takvu priliku.

’ll be the first Grand Slam tournament of my career without Roger Federer in the draw. Obviously for the fans and the tournament it’s a huge loss when he isn’t playing because fans love him pretty much everywhere, and he brings a lot of interest, not just from tennis fans, because he transcends the sport so he brings in fans that don’t usually watch other players.

I unfortunately also had my fair share of back problems, so I understand. For me clay was the worst surface for my back. The ground isn’t stable beneath you and that makes things tricky, and then you have to generate a lot of the power yourself, because the court is slower, and also bouncing up much higher so you have to do a lot of rotating to generate the power. On grass court, the ground does a lot of the work for you. Also the weather can be tough, especially when it’s humid or cold like it’s been here the last couple of years. So I can understand why Roger would have been having issues with his back.

When is it too much so you have to stop? For me it was all about the amount of time I was having the problem. I could play through the pain, but there was a moment where it was like : I’ve been dealing with this for two years, and when it’s bad it’s really bad, so I don’t enjoy practicing, I’m resenting tennis in a way that I’m going on the court but I’m not enjoying the sport because I’m in a lot of pain. It’s not just when I’m on the court, when I was off the court the quality of life wasn’t great and that was why I decided to have surgery. I shouldn’t really have had to have surgery at that age, and that’s why I’ve had to make some big changes to the training, doing a lot more work on my flexibility has helped a lot.

The year I won Wimbledon was the year I missed the French Open so it worked out well for me in the end. We will just have to see now how Roger recovers. It’s still a big loss to the tournament here, and I hope he recovers because Roger is great for tennis. I hope to see him playing at Wimbledon.
