            Yamaha MotoGP boss Davide Brivio has admitted that his team needs to find more power, but is concerned that the 2010 engine use restrictions could hamper its efforts to do so.

            Although Yamaha started the 2010 season with a one-two in Qatar for Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo, the M1 appeared to lack straightline performance compared to its rivals - with Honda in particular seeming to enjoy a power advantage.

            With each rider only allowed to use six engines during the 2010 campaign, Brivio is concerned that catching up could be difficult.

            "We struggle on the straights," Brivio admitted to Gazzetta dello Sport. "Let's hope we can quickly find some small solution to patch the situation.

            "But because of the new rule that forces us to use no more than six engines for the season, finding an immediate solution may be a bit of a problem. We must take into consideration the available units."

            Rossi's bike stopped just after the chequered flag on Sunday night, having run out of fuel. Brivio confirmed Rossi's suspicion that this was simply because excessive wheelspin during the race had used more fuel, but said it had not been a drama and Yamaha's in-built automatic fuel management system had not been required.

            "If the bike slides, you lose grip and the bike consumes more fuel," he said.

            "We have a system that calculates fuel consumption during the race and leaves you with a sufficient amount to reach the end of the race. If it calculates that it's consuming too much, it steps in by reducing the power.

            "There are tracks more problematic than others, and it has occurred in the past that we finished right on the limit. It also depends on the combination between track and temperature: when it's cold you consume more, less so when it's hot.

            "During the post-race meeting we have established that the system did not step in. The fuel was sufficient, and in fact Valentino crossed the finish line with no problems. The system did not reduce the power."

            Slažem se, ali teško je da se izvede pravi zaključak. Mene kopka, kako je sa ovim motorom Valentino oborio rekord na Sepangu? Pa ta staza ima dva ogromna pravca - nije mi jasno. Znate šta ja mislim, postoje 2 mogućnosti:
            1. da je Yamaha na početku sezone odlučila da ide na sigurno i fabričkom timu dala malkice, malkice slabiji motor, a Tech 3 malo jači - pa posle 3 trke da vide njihovo ponašanje i trajanje, da li mogu da izdrže. Ako bude sve u redu, onda za sledeći set motora (naredne 3 trke) i fabričkom timu obezbede malo jači agregat koji je proveren od strane Tech 3 (to je moguće jer je Edwards bio brži i od Valentina i Horhea);
            2. ili je ovo još jedan ''mind games'' od Yamahe čisto da navede konkurenciju da imaju neke probleme. A u pozadini su oni svesno malo poigrali sa ECU da dobiju u krivinama a izgube na pravcu. E sad, Lawliet ja nemam pojma kako to funkcioniše - moguće je da u prva dva sektora, tehnički zahtevna i precizna, ECU pravi malo jaču smešu i dobiju malo više snage, a da na pravcu pravi malo slabiju smešu i tu izgubi malu brzinu (a ukupna potrošnja po krugu ostane ista kao sa ''normalnim'' podešavanjima). Jbm li ga, tako nekako su uradili u Muđelu 2004, kaže Tobi, vrlo je moguće da je tako nešto i sad bilo. Kad se tome doda i slajdovanje, eto je povećana potrošnja ali baš koliko može više, ni kap previše jer bi onda nastupio cirkus...

                        Dobar tekst, jako dobar, pregovori oko 2012 traju uveliko, kao i lobiranja, još ništa nije rešeno konačno. Opet ona Yamaha tvrdi pazar i filozofira *%@(D!RY- , jedini će ostati na 800, a Dukati i Honda verujem da će odmah da pređu na 1000cc mašinu, i Yamaha će ponovo kasniti sa razvojem nove mašine (isto kao 2007) - nije mi jasno; umesto da uzmu i oni i razvijaju 1000cc mašinu i imaju je spremnu ako zatreba. Ovako, po starom običaju, poslednji jure za vodećima &*(@W6

                                Evo ga Kralj ponovo l5'%9 Ovo je najveća prednost koju je mogao da dobije posle Katara, ne samo 25 poena, već i ogromnu psihološku prednost, jer je potpunu Stonerovu dominaciju pretvorio u svoj fenomenalni šou, i samo povećao pritisak na Stonera sa onim skuterom u park fermeu, evo sad i stiker za gorivo - sve se vrti oko njega posle Katara a Stoner samo puca od besa i jedva čeka da uzvrati, a plus moraće da čeka pune dve nedelje - znači misija nije mogla bolje da prođe +*@WT*48*
