Sto se tice prosle nedelje, u Palermu je slavila Medina Garrigues pobedivsi u finalu Polonu Hercog 6:3 6:2, osvojila je 10. titulu na sljaci i od aktivnih igracica sada ona ima najveci broj titula na ovoj podlozi.

Ruska teniserka Marija Šarapova izjavila je da bi volela da se sretne sa Serenom Vilijams ovog leta i da popravi negativni skor u međusobnim duelima.
Od dosadašnjih osam okršaja Serena je dobila šest, uključujući i poslednjih pet u nizu.
“Volim da igram sa njom, imale smo veoma teške mečeve jedna sa drugom. Nemam baš sjajan skor sa njom i želela bih to da promenim. Nema sumnje da bih volele da zaigram protiv nje ovog leta”, rekla je Šarapova.
Ruskinja od ponedeljka igra na turniru u Stenfordu kao peta teniserka sveta, što je prvi put od 2008. godine da je u Top 5.
“Vraćala sam se malo po malo, pravila male korake i popravljala detalje u igri. Nikada ne možete da budete sigurni kada će rezultati doći, ali osećam da i to dolazi na red”.
Šarapova smatra da igra nikada ne može da bude savršena i dodaje:
“Uvek osećam da mogu još da napredujem, čak iako je to samo za nekoliko procenata ili samo jedan korak brže”, zaključila je 24-godišnja Ruskinja, trostruka Grend slem šampionka.Comment
