Manchester United forward Adnan Januzaj 'lacked dedication’

Manchester United academy head Nicky Butt is hopeful Adnan Januzaj will make it at Old Trafford but admitted the Sunderland winger lacked focus.

Adnan Januzaj lacked dedication after he broke into the Manchester United first-team, according to academy head Nicky Butt.

Januzaj, 21, joined Sunderland on a season-long loan last month after making 12 starts in the last two seasons under Louis van Gaal.

Jesse Lingard's development and the signings of Memphis, Anthony Martial and Henrikh Mkhitaryan pushed Januzaj down the pecking order but Butt suggested the lavish contract the Belgian received in October 2013 compromised his focus.

In a Times interview discussing the recent departures of academy graduates Paddy McNair, Donald Love, Tyler Blackett, Will Keane and James Weir, Butt said: "They’re really good lads and will have a good life, nice houses but they weren’t at the level for United.

"It doesn’t hurt me as much as, say, if Adnan Januzaj went and never came back. He’s got the level to play for United and win leagues and Champions Leagues. Maybe he’s not been as dedicated, a case of too much too soon, a millionaire now.”

Januzaj's United career had barely begun when he was said to have enlisted his own driver to navigate him to a girl's house and collect her for date nights, while he was also described as 'spoilt'.

"I’d definitely bring in trust funds," Butt added. "When we first signed our contracts at 17, I remember [chairman] Martin Edwards and the manager [Sir Alex Ferguson] said: ‘You’re having a grand a week, and the rest will be put away.’ The rest was put with an accountant who still works for all of us now. It was the best thing that ever happened.

"Some kids now come up and expect things too soon — and get given it too soon. It’s the fear factor of losing him to another club and end up losing a £50 million player. For the sake of an extra £4,000 a week.”

Nista od Grizmana ni sledeceg ljeta, potvrdjen transfer ban za Atletiko i Real, dva naredna roka oni ne mogu nikoga dovesti(mogu ali do januara 2018. ne mogu registrovati igraca), tako da nece nikoga ni prodavati. De Hei nema mrdanja isto.
