World No.3, Victoria Azarenka will be taking on the Serbian former world No.1, Jelena Jankovic in the 2012 Sydney Open.

Belarus world No.3, Victoria Azarenka will be clashing in her opening encounter against world No.14, Jelena Jankovic in the second round of the 2012 WTA Apia International Open on Monday, January 09, 2012 at 12:30PM GMT being held in Sydney, Australia.

Both the players have played 6-matches in the past and leveled their head to head record with 3-3 against each other. However, the previous encounter between both the players was in the 2010 Doha Open, where Azarenka has thrashed out Jankovic in straight sets with a score line of 6-4 6-1.

Belarus No.4, Azarenka has shown an excellent performance in 2011 season winning 4-WTA titles. However, the Belarus could not able to clinch any of the grand slam titles in 2011.

Azarenka has started her 2012 season beating Stefanie Voegele with a score line of 6-2 6-1 to start her season with a good note. Belarus has to struggle hard against Jelena in order to pull a victory in 2012.

World No.14, Jelena Jankovic has started off her 2012 at the Brisbane Open. However, she has been defeated in the quarterfinals against the former French open champion, Francesca Schiavone. Jankovic will in second WTA tournament in new season will be aiming high to clinch a title in 2012.

As per the predictions, it will be a three set encounter between both the players, as Azarenka would be winner of today’s match at Apia International Open.

Ovih dana sam mnogo slabo pratio tennis imao sam mnogo obaveza koje su mi bile bitne poenkad bi uđi samo da odradim stvari koje su mi važne i brzo bi izađi ,sada mislim da cu imati malo vise slobodnog vremena da vam se opet pridružim a šta reći Vika još jedna titula fantastična je ,naravno imala je onaj mali problem s nogom pa se dovodilo u sumnju da li će moći igrati na nivou ali 6:1 6:2 sve govori .;)A Federer me je naravno ocarao kako je igrao protv Delpa .;)
