The official Formula One 2012 season review DVD includes some not previously broadcast team radio material which reveals more about two controversial moments of last season involving Sebastian Vettel.

He received a penalty during the Spanish Grand Prix after Jenson Button pointed out he’d deployed DRS on the main straight despite yellow flags being waved. “Vettel is using DRS, Vettel is using DRS. In a yellow flag zone” reported Button on the radio.

After being handed his penalty an angry Vettel defended his driving on the radio channel, which race director Charlie Whiting and the stewards can listen to.

Vettel said: “I wasn’t going too fast. I could see everything then I took KERS and I didn’t feel it.

“What else did you want me to see? I was awake, I told you yellow flag, that I could see it down the straight. It’s not my problem if I have DRS, I cannot lift up. We’re talking four tenths.”

His race engineer Guillaume Rocqueline urged him to accept the penalty, saying: “Understood. The penalty will not be changed. Deep breath, stay focused. I don’t want any arm-waving or anything, OK?”

Vettel also received a penalty during the Italian Grand Prix. On that occasion he addressed Whiting directly on the radio to deny he forced Fernando Alonso wide at the Curva Grande.

Alonso had already said: “OK I think that’s enough, no? That’s enough… I’m at 320 kilometres an hour. OK?”

In his defence, Vettel said: “To race director. All of a sudden he was on the grass. I didn’t need to push him on the grass, I left enough room.”

After his penalty was handed down, Vettel added: “I told you I didn’t push him on the grass. There was enough room.”

I ta prica je zavrsena... Visegodisnji ugovor sa Porscheom za Webbera, a cini se da ce i Red Bull tu uskociti kao znacajan sponzor... Dakle, samo nam jos treba potvrda Kimija u Red Bullu dogodine... Bice i to za mesec - dva maks...

Nije mnogo bitno. Stavio sam jer se neko pomučio da izračuna i prebroji, a i radi poklapanja nekih brojeva.

Ostace upamceno kada je preticao dvostrukog svetskog sampiona Alonsa, i preuzimao vodecu poziciju u Madjarskoj-poslao radio poruku"tako se to radi,dame"-cime je pokazao, da on prakticno uziva na trkama
Treci u svetskom prvenstvu je velika nagrada za vozaca, koji je bio nabrzi ne racunajuci dominantne mercedese.

Van Amersfoort Racing denies Adrian Newey joining F3 team

Leading Formula 3 European Championship team Van Amersfoort Racing has denied recent media reports that Red Bull Racing’s F1 chief technical officer Adrian Newey will join its engineering strength for 2016.

In a statement, VAR’s general manager Rob Niessink explained that "it is clear that someone within the team had provided some unverified information to the media and generated a misinterpretation of Mr Newey’s relationship with the team."

The statement added: "Mr. Adrian Newey is not and will not be working for Van Amersfoort Racing in any shape or form."

Newey’s son Harrison drove for VAR in Formula 4 this year, and he has been strongly tipped to graduate to its F3 squad next season.

‘’Following the good relationship established during the 2015 Formula 4 season, we recently invited Harrison Newey to drive one of our Formula 3 cars during some special testing sessions,” said Niessink.

“Mr. Newey is an enthusiastic supporter of his son and showing interest in his racing activities he attended our recent testing sessions. It is as simple as that.”

The statement concluded: "Van Amersfoort Racing wishes to apologize to Mr. Newey and to all parties concerned, including the media, that may have been misled or offended by the wholly inaccurate statement which was made by a member of the team."
