Meni je i dan danas nejasna Gugina inferiornost na hardu. Mislim, jasno mi je da su podloge 90-tih favorizovale usavršavanje jednog stila, pa smo tako umjesto all courtera dobijali specijaliste za svaku podlogu posebno, ali ne mogu se oteti utisku da je Guga jednostavno imao kapacitet za više. Travu otpisujemo u startu, tu bih i ja ovako vrljav bio bolji od njega, a sa 22-17 na betonskim Slemovima moze biti zadovoljan sa ova dva 1/4 US Opena.. mada je onaj mec protiv Piolina mogao otici i na njegovu stranu

I don't know anybody who's ever played tennis like this. Since I know this sport I've never seen somebody playing at this level.

Ja sam dvije fulio, jedna na servis i jedna na side liniji...sve u svemu, nije ovako brzo uživo
mada zna nekad loptica baš iznenaditi, ne očekuješ jak udarac...šta da se radi

If you know a little something about tennis—maybe you have played a few times in your life—he's more amazing. If you know a little more about tennis—maybe you played in high school and once had illusions of becoming a pro—he's even MORE amazing. And if you were a great player—if you are a McEnroe or a Connors or a Jim Courier—then Federer is preposterously amazing

Here's the most remarkable thing to me about Federer: Seems to me that the more you know about tennis, the more amazed you are by the guy. If you know nothing at all about tennis, he's amazing. If you know a little something about tennis—maybe you have played a few times in your life—he's more amazing. If you know a little more about tennis—maybe you played in high school and once had illusions of becoming a pro—he's even MORE amazing. And if you were a great player—if you are a McEnroe or a Connors or a Jim Courier—then Federer is preposterously amazing
