Here's the most remarkable thing to me about Federer: Seems to me that the more you know about tennis, the more amazed you are by the guy. If you know nothing at all about tennis, he's amazing. If you know a little something about tennis—maybe you have played a few times in your life—he's more amazing. If you know a little more about tennis—maybe you played in high school and once had illusions of becoming a pro—he's even MORE amazing. And if you were a great player—if you are a McEnroe or a Connors or a Jim Courier—then Federer is preposterously amazing

Pogledah ovaj mec posle 100 godina.. mislim da ga nikad i nisam ponovo pogledao nakon uzivo prenosa. I mogu vam reci da.. ja nemam rijeci.
Ovo nema veze sa danasnjim zenskim tenisom. Ovo je fenomenalno! Ovo je tako visok nivo i zestok tempo, siloviti udarci.. ma, mnogi muski mecevi danas nisu ni primaci ovom kvalitetu.
Namece se logican zakljucak zasto je to tako.. 90-ih se, uz revoluciju u pogledu tehnologije reketa-zica, igra znatno ubrzala i udarci postali mnogo brzi, jaci. Medjutim, muski tenis je time vise izgubio, nego sto je dobio. Poeni su brutalno skraceni, sport je postao negledljiv i predvidljiv... Ali je zato zenski tenis bio bolji nego ikada prije i ikada posle (homogenizacije). Kada su usporili podloge, muski tenis se doveo u normalu, ali je zato zenski tenis totalno obogaljen. Resenje je, naravno, da postoje posebni tereni/kompleksi za zenske turnire, ali to je nemoguce, je li... steta...Comment

Jeste, kažu da su u ta vremena ljubitelji tenisa pratili više ženski nego muški tenis, bio je kvalitetniji, interesantniji od muškog, pa vidi samo tu finu konkurenciju i društvo, Monika, Stefi, Dženi, Gabrijela, Meri Džo, Martina, Arancha... itd itd itd Kao što je sad zlatno doba muškog tenisa (možda na izmaku) tako je ono bilo zlatno doba ženskog, danas uglavnom mlade teniserke izrastaju u influenserke, manekenke i sl, baš bezveze i velika šteta za talentovane devojčice, ali to izgleda danas tako mora ko će ga znatiOriginally posted by Joker View Post

Da, ja se secam da sam kao klinka volela da gledam i zenski tenis, nisam ga zaobilazila kao sto sad radim, nekako su igracice bile drguacije, drugaciji stil su imale, bilo mi je ekstra zanimljivo.
