Inace profa engleskog u gimnaziji pricao da je nastalo tako sto je u I ili II svetskom ratu neki americki komandant slao izvestaj i kad ne bi bilo ubijenih pisao je prvo "zero killed", da bi kasnije pisao samo OK. Sad me bas zanima da li tacno ovo ili ono iz filma...
Mi smo svojevremeno vršili razna istraživanja (kažem mi.. oko neke tamo jezičke grupe) i došli smo do ne baš pouzdanih informacija.
Početkom 19. veka bilo je puno skraćenica u američkom engleskom, koje se i danas koriste,a od tada potiče, po jednima i ova. Postojao je politički klub O.K. oko kandidata za predsednika Martina Van Burena,
čiji je nadimak bio Old Kinderhook, koji nije bio baš uspešan (kanadidat), ali je skraćenica bila pogodna za parole.
Po drugima sve priznato all correct, odnosno fonetski Ol Korekt, po trećima vodi poreklo, ništa manje uticajno, od grčkog slogana Ολα Καλα (sve je u redu)...pa do iskvareno škotsko-engleskog, odnosno jamajčanskog...
...(pogrešna tumačenja određenih izraza)...pa opet sve do brojnog stanja, ono što ti pominješ, ali i u ratu Britanaca sa plemenom Zulu...itd, itd...
U samim američkim izvorima nikada nećeš naći jednu dokazanu i potvrđenu teoriju, već uvek ih ima mnogo, delimične sam navela.
Uostalom, kada oni sami ne znaju poreklo svojih reči u toj relativno kratkoj istoriji, kako će drugi znati

Kao 3 najbitnija se uzimaju Kurosava, Tarkovski i Caplin (svako iz razlicitih razloga). Ja bih jos dodao Bergmana i Bunjuela na tu listu.
