Mihajlovic: 'Belotti staying at Torino'
Torino Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic is “very happy that Andrea Belotti is remaining with us. The President was clear: release clause abroad or nothing.”
The striker has a €100m release clause in his contract, but it is only valid for clubs outside of Italy, while Milan’s offers have so far been rejected.
“Belotti had a slight injury, which is why he missed the friendly with Guingamp. He is relaxed and I am very happy he is remaining with us,” said Mihajlovic in a Press conference.
“The President was clear: release clause abroad or nothing. There is a great rapport of respect, confidence and affection. I’m very satisfied with the work we’re doing and over the last three weeks I have seen hard work, generosity and desire to do well.
“If we manage to improve all the individual aspects, then our season can’t help but be better than the last.”
Belotti had been targeted by Chelsea and Manchester United, but they have both already found their new striker in the form of Alvaro Morata and Romelu Lukaku.Comment
