"The Minimum Wage is a Path to Mediocrity"
How government regulated minimum wage is making the society mediocre
The thesis would observe different issues about government regulated minimum wage. The basic premise is that minimum wage is affecting all segments of economy and as such is hurting the economy as a system.
The idea is that minimum wage should be $0.00 per hour.
Why?
That should be proven by research and addressing following issues.
Issue #1: Economy
Economy of one country is a system that can work in different economical ideologies, like the free market enterprise, socialism, communism or government regulated free market
enterprise.
In this segment, the research should be focused on different schools of economics. The basic difference is between Free Market economics and Keynesian economy.
Issue #2: Public sector
This segment should be focused on how minimum wage affects public sector. How abolishing the principle of minimum wage and adopting the merit based wage system would improve public sector and its efficiency.
Issue #3: Private sector
This segment should be about private companies and entrepreneurs. The minimum wage is certainly hurting the private sector the most, and what would be short and long term effects of abolishing the principle of minimum wage.
Issue #4: Single worker
What are the effects on workers? Certainly every worker would like to earn more money and government regulated high minimum wage makes that much easier, but does it shrink available job opportunities?
Does the minimum wage lower or raise unemployment?
What are the effects of unions in system without minimum wage?
What are the effects on higher skilled workers, do they suffer because of the higher minimum wage?
Issue #5: Quality of education
Does the education start to be mediocre?
The education of people is very important but in minimum wage system people are satisfied with their living wage so they do not seek further improvements in their education. With less students, education would become the bare minimum for work.
Issue #6: Quality of progress
The progress of society is very important. If the majority of the people are happy with minimum wage, then the progress is in question.
Issue #7: Level of innovation
If the motivation of people to improve is very low, then the innovation is in danger. USA was the biggest innovator in the last 100 years. American system is fully based on free market enterprise and that paid off. In the last 10 years, USA’s innovation was not the same as 100 years ago. The pace of innovation is lower, and it is probably caused by great amount of government regulation.
Issue #8: Skill development
How are people without skills supposed to get skills if the entry level jobs are filled with more experienced people because the minimum wage created that environment?
The low skill job wage should be based on supply and demand principles.
Labor is a product of normal people, they exchange it for money from the companies that produce other products which people buy with their earned money.
If a price of bread is based on supply and demand principles then why is the price of labor regulated by government?

Doslovno si čikaška škola, jer to jeste šok terapija.
Time se razvodnjava čitav kvalitet obrazovanja.
