U okviru četvrtog kola Premier League, Newcastle United putuje u Liverpool gde će snage odmeriti sa Everton-om. Meč se igra u ponedeljak na Goodison Park-u sa početkom u 8pm (GMT), odnosno 21h (CET).

DEMBA BA SA DVA GOLA DONEO BOD SA GOODISON PARK-a
EVERTON - NEWCASTLE UNITED 2 : 2
Odličan fudbal viđen je na kišnom Goodison Park-u, gde su domaći Everton i Newcastle United podelili bodove. Posle 90 minuta igre rezultat je glasio 2:2.
Kažnjeni Pardew je meč pratio iz lože, dok je kraj klupe za rezervne igrače stajao John Carver. Prvih XI činili su: Harper, Perch, Williamson, S.Taylor, Santon, Cabaye, Anita, Gutierrez, Marveaux, Ben Arfa, Cisse.
U prvom poluvremenu Everton je igrao fantastično. Visoki Fellaini, pokretljivi Pienaar, nezgodni Jelavic i odlični Baines zadavali su mnogo problema igačima Newcastle United-a.
Prvu priliku karamelice su imale posle udarca Fellaini-a, kada je Jelavić i zatresao mrežu Harper-a, ali je pomoćni sudija signalizirao offside.
Poveo je Everton preko Leighton Baines-a u 15. minutu rezantnim udarcem sa desetak metara iskosa sa leve strane. Baines je razmenio dupli pas sa Pienaar-om, ušao u šesnaesterac Newcastle-a i preciznim udarcem po zemlji lako savladao Harper-a za 1:0.
Mirralas je nešto kasnije šutirao sa dvadesetak metara, ali njegov udarac završava pored desne stative Harper-ovog gola.
Newcastle United je imao jednu dobru priliku preko Cisse-a, ali je njegov volej sa desetak metara završio pored gola.
Phil Jagielka oprobava svoj udarac sa distance, ali lopta kači levu stativu Haprer-ovog gola i odlazi u gol-aut.
Pred kraj prvog dela igre Anita je imao dobru priliku kada je sa pet metara šutirao ka golu domaćih, ali njegov udarac sa gol linije u polje izbacuje Baines.
Pienaar je mogao da duplira prednost svog tima pred kraj prvog poluvremena, ali je u vrlo dobroj situaciji bio neprecizan.
Poluvreme: 1 : 0
Sylvain Marveaux je na poluvremenu ostao u svlačionici, dok je umesto njega u igru ušao Demba Ba.
Upravo je Demba Ba na odličan pas Cabaye-a u 49. minutu doneo poravnanje. Ba je rezantnim udarcem sa dvadesetak metara levom nogom uhvatio na spavanju golmana domaćih Howard-a, poslavši loptu po sredini gola za 1:1, minut 49. Ba gol proslavlja u svom stilu, klanjajući se na kolenima...
U 60. minutu utakmice Fellaini trese mrežu Newcastle-a, ali gol je ponovo poništen zbog ofsajda. Ovoga puta linijski sudija je pogrešio jer je Steven Taylor zakasnio da "izađe".
Ben Arfa je imao odličnu priliku da sa desetak metara matira Howard-a, ali morali su i golmani da na ovoj utakmici nešto i odbrane.
U 78. minutu utakmice, ponovo je Everton oštećen jer nije priznat gol Anichebe-u. Sa gol linije loptu je izbio Williamson. U nastavku akcije Newcastle pravi kontru preko Ben Arfa-e. Negde na polovini igrališta njega faulira Pienaar a sudija Mike Jones umesto da pusti prednost i ispoštuje kontra napad on svira prekršaj za svrake.
Dva minuta kasnije umesto Cisse-a u igru ulazi Shola Ameobi.
U 88. minutu Victor Anichebe kao na petoparcu okreće Steven Taylor-a i jakim i preciznim udarcem savladava Harper-a za 2:1. Činilo se da je pravda na neki način zadovoljena...
Međutim, da pravda ponekad nema nikakve veze sa fudbalom postarao se Demba Ba koji je u 90. minutu na sjajno proigravanje glavom od strane Shola Ameobi-a, nekako sa sedam metara proturio loptu ispod Howard-a za konačnih 2:2.
Gael Bigirimana ulazi u igru u sudijskoj nadoknadi umesto Cabaye-a.

Preko razglasa puštena je pesma od benda The Hollies' "He Ain't Heavy He's My Brother", što je propraćeno aplauzom sa sve četiri strane stadiona. Posle četiri kola NUFC ima pet bodova i nalazi se na jedanaestom mestu. Demba Ba je postigao 1000 gol Newcastle United-a u Premier League. Isti igrač je u 90. minutu postigao i 1001. gol NUFC-a u PL.

Desetkovani Newcastle United je remizirao sa Portugalskom ekipom Maritimo rezultatom 0:0. Bez obzira na poteškoće zbog povreda, ekipa Alan Pardew-a je pružila solidnu partiju, pogodila tri puta okvir gola (Shola Ameobi dva puta i Dan Gosling jednom) i bila bliža pobedi.
Sa druge strane i Maritimo je imao četiri vrlo izgledne prilike (jednom pogodili prečku), ali je golman Newcastle United-a Rob Elliot bio na visini zadatka.

Tvrd, muški fudbal viđen je na St James' Park-u, gde je samo jedan gol odlučio pobednika. Newcastle United je golom raspoloženog Dembe Ba u 19. minutu utakmice pobedio neugodni Norwich City rezultatom 1:0.
Alan Pardew je odrađivao drugi i poslednji meč suspenzije, dok je kraj klupe za rezervne igrače tim vodio John Carver. Sledećih XI igrača u crno-belom je istrčalo na teren St James' Park-a: Harper, Perch, Williamson, Steven Taylor, Santon, Ben Arfa, Anita , Cabaye, Gutierrez, Cisse, Ba.
Ništa specijalno nije viđeno u prvih dvadesetak minuta igre. Međutim, igrao se 19. minut kada je Demba Ba je na fantastičnu asistenciju Ben Arfa-e vešto izbegao ofsajd zamku, našao se jedan na jedan sa golmanom kanarinaca Ruddy-em i mirno, klinički precizno sa petnaestak metara, poslao loptu kroz njegove noge za 1:0, minut 19. Demba Ba gol proslavlja klanjajući se na kolenima.
Imali su i gosti svoje prilike, ponajbolju sredinom prvog poluvremena, kada je Mike Williamson sa gol linije loptu izbacio u polje.
Da prekine golgeterski post odličnu priliku imao je u 45. minutu Papiss Cisse sa bele tačke. Naime, u šesnaestercu gostiju odgurnut je Mike Williamson od strane Morison-a i glavni sudija meča Neil Swarbrick je pokazao na belu tačku. Posle male prepirke ko će izvesti jedanesterac između Ben Arfe-a i Dembe Ba, omaleni Francuz je loptu bacio do Cisse-a, želeći da se Papiss konačno ove sezone upiše u strelce. Papiss Cisse je uzeo kratak zalet ali je šutirao visoko, visoko preko prečke u stratosferu.

U drugom poluvremenu, gosti su u uvodnim minutama imali odličnu priliku preko Surman-a, kojem je Harper odbranio udarac.
U 70. minutu igre umesto Papiss Cisse-a u igru je ušao Gabriel Obertan. Šest minuta kasnije umesto Anita-e u igru je ušao Cheik Tiote.
Šta se mota u glavi Tiote-a to samo on zna. Nerviranje celog stadiona zbog zadržavanja lopte i driblanja tri-četiri protivnička igrača, zatim, divljački nasrtaj na jednog igrača gostiju. Tiote može biti srećan što je ostao na terenu i što mu nije pokazan crveni karton.
U 86. minutu umesto Ben Arfa-e u igru ulazi Shola Ameobi.
Do kraja meča Newcastle United je pretio preko Ben Arfa-e i Steven Taylor-a, dok je rezervista Obertan dobro šutirao, ali mu je John Ruddy odbranio udarac.

NA OLD TRAFFORD-u ISTA PRIČA
MANCHESTER UNITED - NEWCASTLE UNITED 2 : 1
Ponovo poraz na Old Trafford-u. Ovoga puta u Capital One Cup-u. Manchester United je golovima Anderson-a u 44. minutu i Cleverley-a u 58. minutu poveo 2:0. Rezervista Papiss Cisse je postavio konačan rezultat 2:1 u 62. minutu, postigavši gol glavom sa pet metara.
Alan Pardew je na teren polu praznog Old Trafford-a izveo sledećih XI: Elliot, Perch, Williamson, Coloccini, Tavernier, Obertan, Tiote , Gosling, Marveaux, Vuckic, Sh.Ameobi.
U prvom delu igre Newcastle United je igrao sasvim solidno. Igrači u crno-belom su stvorili dve vrlo povoljne prilike. Prvu je imao Dan Gosling na asistenciju Shole Ameobi-a, kada je sa desetak metara šutirao levom nogom preko gola, dok je drugu imao mladi James Tavernier šutirajući sa ivice šesnaesterca pored gola domaćih.
Baš kada se očekivalo da će se na odmor otići bez golova Anderson je doveo Crvene Đavole u vođstvo. Posle jednog auta sa desnog boka, Anderson je prihvatio loptu, krenuo ka šesnaestercu Newcastle-a, izdržao duel sa Gosling-om i onda kao iz topa uputio udarac sa dvadeset pet metara. Lopta se od desne stative Elliot-ovog gola odbila u mrežu, za 1:0, minut 44.
Poluvreme: 1 : 0
U uvodnim minutima drugog poluvremena, Haris Vučkić je odlično šutirao unutrašnjom stranom desnog stopala sa ivice šesnaesterca sa leve strane, ali je njegov udarac završio pored leve stative gola golmana domaćih De Gea-e.
Alan Pardew je pripremao dvostruku izmenu, međutim Manchester United je u tim momentima poveo 2:0. Lep gol sa dvadesetak metara postigao je Tom Cleverley u 58. minutu, pogodivši donji levi ugao gola golmana Newcastle-a Elliot-a.
U 61. minutu Pardew pravi dvostruku izmenu ubacujući u igru Ferguson-a i Cisse-a umesto Coloccini-a i Vučkić-a.
Izmene su odmah urodile plodom, jer je samo minut kasnije Shane Ferguson odlično centrirao sa levog boka na peterac gostiju, gde je najviši u skoku bio Papiss Cisse, koj je loptu zakucao glavom u mrežu za 2:1, minut 62.
Četiri minuta kasnije copy/paste akcija. Ferguson centrira sa levog boka, Cisse glavom upućuje udarac, ali ovoga puta De Gea sprečava izjednačenje.
U 71. minutu iz igre izlazi Tiote dok je u istu ušao Bigirimana.
Oba tima su do kraja meča pogađala okvir gola. Prvo je za domaće prečku pogodio Hernandez, dok je Cisse pred kraj meča prelepim makazicama takođe pogodio prečku protivničkog gola i tako umalo odveo meč u produžetke.
Poslednju priliku za svrake imao je Dan Gosling, koji je iz okreta šutirao desnom nogom, ali je njegov udarac De Gea odbranio

Manager Newcastle United-a Alan Pardew i tri seniorska trenera u klubu su dobili ugovore o kojima mnogi mogu samo da sanjaju. Naime, Alan Pardew, John Carver, Steve Stone i Andy Woodman su potpisali nove osmogodišnje ugovore sa Newcastle United-om.

Newcastle United have today given manager Alan Pardew and his three senior coaching staff, John Carver, Steve Stone and Andy Woodman, new eight-year contracts up to the end of the 2019/20 season.
The club has awarded the long-term contracts to ensure it has the stability necessary to achieve consistent success in the Premier League and European club competition.
Mike Ashley and his board have demonstrated their faith in Alan and his staff, and today's announcement sends out an emphatic message that the stability of the coaching team is key to moving the Club forward.
Managing Director Derek Llambias said: "If you look at clubs like Manchester United and Arsenal, Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger have shown that stability gives you the best platform to achieve success, and that is the model we wish to emulate here.
"We're looking to build on the success we had last season and these new contracts are aimed at keeping the Club progressing on and off the pitch, as we have done since returning to the Premier League in 2010.
"Alan has done a fantastic job over the last couple of years and has proved what a great Premier League manager he is. I have total respect for him in all football matters and have an excellent relationship with him which I think benefits the club enormously.
"Alan also has one of the best backroom teams in the country and I would like to thank John Carver, Steve Stone, and Andy Woodman for all their combined efforts.
