    Prvu utakmicu u novoj 2012. godini, Newcastle United igra na svom St James' Park-u, protiv šampiona Manchester United-a. Meč se igra u sredu sa početkom u 8pm (GMT), odnosno u 21h (CET). Vrlo moguće je da će na dresovima Newcastle United-a osvanuti nova reklama: Virgin Money.

    NUFC: Povređeni su Steven Taylor, Danny Guthrie, Sylvain Marveaux, Peter Lovenkrands i Nile Ranger, dok je Gabriel Obertan, čini se fit za meč protiv svog bivšeg kluba.

      Virgin Money To Become New Shirt Sponsor


      Newcastle United are delighted to announce a new shirt sponsorship deal with Virgin Money.

      The two parties have agreed a two-year deal which follows a long standing relationship between Northern Rock and Newcastle United. (Virgin Money completed the acquisition of Northern Rock plc on 1 Jan 2012.)

      The Virgin Money logo will be used on team shirts for the remainder of the 2011-12 season under the current sponsorship arrangements.

      Newcastle United Managing Director Derek Llambias said: "We're delighted to secure this new deal with Virgin Money and we look forward to enjoying a mutually beneficial partnership over the coming seasons. It is an excellent deal for both parties and we're very happy to have them on board."

      And Jayne-Anne Gadhia, Chief Executive at Virgin Money said: "Now that Virgin Money and Northern Rock are united as one business, it gives us great pleasure to continue the shirt sponsorship of Newcastle United Football Club. The Northern Rock sponsorship started in 2003 and it is an important link to the North-East which we are pleased to continue.

      "Combined with our sponsorship of the Virgin London Marathon and the Edinburgh Festival 'Fringe on the high street', the shirt sponsorship of Newcastle United Football Club embeds our involvement in the communities we serve.

        KONAČNO JE PAO I MANCHESTER UNITED

        NEWCASTLE UNITED - MANCHESTER UNITED 3 : 0


        Posle dugih dugih deset godina Newcastle United je savladao Manchester United. Lako su Svrake izašle na kraj sa Crvenim đavolima i rezultatom 3:0 porazili goste.

        Alan Pardew na dupke pun St James' Park izvodi sledećih XI: Krul, Simpson, Coloccini, Williamson, Santon, Ryan Taylor, Tiote, Cabaye ,Gutierrez, Shola Ameobi, Ba.

        Dobro su crno-beli otvorili meč stvorivši na početku utakmice tri vrlo dobre prilike preko Ba-e, koji nije dobro zahvatio loptu na penaltiku i Cabaye-a i Tiote-a, koji su pokušali udarcima sa distance

        Doduše, imali su i gosti svoje prilike. Najbolju preko Berbatov-a, kada je glavom uputio udarac ka Krul-ovom golu, ali je lopta od stative otišla u gol aut. Rooney se nije najbolje snašao u šesnaetercu Newcastle-a, dok je Nani-ev udarac Krul lako ukrotio.

        Sudija Webb je propustio da pokaže na belu tačku u situaciji kada je Rio Ferdinand u 25. minutu u svom šesnaestercu sapleo Demba Ba-u. Sramota!

        Međutim, prvi gol na utakmici postiže Demba Ba u 33. minutu utakmice. Bio je to mat u tri poteza. Krul šalje dugu loptu na Shola Ameobi-a, koji odlično skače, prosledivši loptu glavom do Ba-e. Ovaj je umakao pažnji Ferdinand-a i iz okreta, poluvolejom gađa desnu malu mrežu gola golmana Man United-a Lindegaard-a za 1:0, minut 33. Ba gol proslavlja moleći se na travi. Njegov 15. gol u Premier League.

        Do kraja poluvremena, crno-beli su pretili iz slobodnjaka preko Ryan Taylor-a, ali je njegov udarac završio preko gola. Ba je takođe pokušao udarcem sa distance ali je Lindegaard to odbranio.

        Odmah na početku drugog poluvremena Yohan Cabaye duplira prednost Newcastle United-a, prelepim golom iz slobodnog udarca. Lopta se od prečke odbila iza gol linije, za 2:0, minut 47. Cabaye gol proslavlja klizeći na kolenima kao Dragan Mance.

        Rezervista Danny Welbeck je umalo zatresao Krul-ovu mrežu, ali je njegov udarac na samoj gol liniji u polje izbacio Danny Simpson.

        Kada je Alex Ferguson u 75. minutu iz igre izveo Rooney-a a u istu poslao Anderson-a, znalo se da će Newcastle United dobiti ovaj meč.

        Shola Ameobi je u 75. minutu zamenjen. Umesto njega je ušao Leon Best. Tri minute kasnije iz igre izlazi uz salve ovacija Yohan Cabaye. Umesto njega je ušao James Perch.

        U 90. minutu iz igre je izašao Demba Ba, dok je u istu ušao Gabriel Obertan. Demba Ba je dobio standing ovation.

        Kompletnu mizeriju Crvenih đavola zaokružuje Phil Jones auto-golom u 90. minutu utakmice, postavivši tako konačan rezultat 3:0. Naime, Tim Krul je daleko deganžirao loptu, koju je pratio Best. U želji da je zagradi i vrati svom golmanu, Jones je nespretno prvo glavom pa zatim i kolenom tu loptu ubacio u praznu mrežu, jer je golman njegovog tima očekivao da loptu uhvati u naručje.

        Posle 20. kola u Premier League, zauzimamo sedmo mesto sa sakupljenih 33 boda, samo četiri boda manje od mesta koje vodi u Champions League. Nažalost, Demba Ba i Cheik Tiote odlaze na Afrički Kup Nacija, a vrlo je verovatno da se Tiote neće ni vraćati u Newcastle jer će u zimskom prelaznom roku biti prodat za debele pare. Šta reći za Demba Ba-u? Najbolji napadač kojeg imamo posle Shearer-a. Šteta što odlazi na taj Afrički Kup Nacija, jer dečko je postigao 15 premijerligaških golova i verujem da bi postigao i svih 25 do kraja sezone da ne ide na Afrički Kup Nacija. Bilo je zadovoljstvo gledati da u 92. minutu pri rezultatu 3:0, Santon i Obertan kidišu ka golu gostiju, kako bi postigli i četvrti gol. Kapa dole za sve, od Pardew-a, preko stručnog štaba, pa do svih igrača na terenu. Pohvala i za publiku, koja je igrače nosila do toliko očekivane pobede.

            U trećoj rundi FA Cup-a, na St James' Park dolazi ekipa Blackburn Rovers. Meč se igra u subotu sa početkom u 3pm (GMT), odnosno u 16h (CET).

                NEWCASTLE UNITED - BLACKBURN ROVERS 2 : 1

                Uprkos tome što su igrači Newcastle United-a imali gol zaostatka na poluvremenu, u nastavku igre su skupili snage, volje pa i umeća i sa dva gola preokrenuli rezultat u svoju korist.

                Alan Pardew je na St James' Park izveo sledećih XI: Krul, Simpson, Coloccini, Williamson, Santon, Obertan Abeid, Cabaye, Gutierrez, Ben Arfa, Best.

                U prvom poluvremenu totalna dominacija crno-belih. Međutim poveo je Blackburn Rovers 0:1 u 35. minutu preko David Goodwillie-a, koji je zatresao Krul-ovu mrežu iz blizine, posle jednog kornera. Šok na St James' Park-u.


                Poluvreme: 0 : 1


                U nastavku igre, ključni momenat meča dogodio se u 56. minutu, kada je Pardew iz igre izvadio Obertan-a a u istu uveo Shola Ameobi-a. Črtiri minuta kasnije, iz igre zbog povrede izlazi Simpson, dok u istu ulazi Ryan Taylor.

                U 70. minutu, Hatem Ben Arfa je krenuo sa centra igrališta, nanizao četiri-pet igrača Rovers-a, zatim loptu poslao u leve rašlje gola gomana gostiju Bunn-a, za 1:1. Prvi gol na St James' Park-u za Ben Arfa-u i to kakav.

                Posle izjednačenja, Newcastle United preko Williamson-a trese prečku gostujućeg gola, dok je Cabaye hvatao prelep volej, ali njih dvojica nisu uspeli da savladaju golmana gostiju Bunn-a.

                Gosling u 87. minutu ulazi u igru umesto Abeid-a.

                Međutim, u 94. minutu utakmice, Jonas Gutierrez je odigrao dupli pas sa Best-om i mirno prebacio Bunn-a, za 2:1 i za prolaz Newcastle United-a u četvrtu rundu FA Cup-a. Da, Jonas je izvadio spiderman masku i za to dobio žuti karton!!!

                Zanimljiv meč viđen je na St James' Park-u, gde je bolji tim ipak prošao dalje. Hatem Ben Arfa je još jednom pokazao klasu i dokazao da tim koji postigne takav gol, kakav je o postigao mora i da pobedi.

                        LEON BEST DONEO POBEDU NEWCASTLE UNITED-u


                        NEWCASTLE UNITED - QUEENS PARK RANGERS 1 : 0


                        Uprkos tome što je Queens Park Rangers možda i bio bolji rival, Newcastle United je znalački ovu utakmicu pobedio rezultatom 1:0. Jedini gol na meču, postigao je Leon Best u 37. minutu utakmice.

                        Alan Pardew na St James' Park izvodi sledećih XI: Krul, Simpson, Coloccini, Williamson, Santon, Gutierrez, Guthrie, Cabaye, R.Taylor, Best , Sh.Ameobi.

                        Gosti iz Londona su odlučnije ušli u meč i već na startu pripretili sa nekoliko udaraca. Pretili su gosti preko Helguson-a, dok su prečku i stativu Krul-ovog gola pogađali Shaun Wright-Phillips i Bothroyd.

                        Međutim, prelomni momenat meča desio se u 23. minutu, kada je igrač QPR-a Derry, žestoko startovao na Yohan Cabaye-a. Sudija Chris Foy je mirno duše mogao Derry-u da pokaže crveni karton. Međutim, pokazao mu je samo žuti. Dva minuta kasnije u igru umesto povređenog Cabaye-a ulazi Hatem Ben(ch) Arfa.

                        Ova izmena kao da je pogurala igrače Newcastle-a ka napred i digla ih iz letargije.

                        Igrao se 37. minut i posle nekoliko dobrih pasova, lopta nekako stiže do Leon Best-a. Ovaj fintom tela izbacuje iz centra za ravnotežu svog čuvara i mirno sa osam metara lako matira golmana gostiju Kenny-a, šaljući loptu u donji levi ugao njegovog gola za 1:0.

                        Do kraja poluvremena, Ryan Taylor i Jonas Gutierrez su pokušali ali rezultat se nije menjao.

                        U drugom poluvremenu, tempo igre je pao.

                        Newcastle United je nešto pokušavao preko Best-a i Shola Ameobi-a ali ništa spektakularno.

                        Queens Park Rangers je samo jednom pripretio preko Bothroyd-a, dok je Newcastle jednom vrištao za penalom, zbog igranja rukom u svom šesnaestercu Buzasky-a.

                        Kada je Pardew iz igre u 76. minutu meča izvukao Leon Best-a a u istu ubacio James Perch-a, jasna je bila namera stratega Svraka, da utakmicu treba zatvoriti. Četiri minuta kasnije i Dan Gosling ulazi u igru umesto Ryan Taylor-a.

                        Do kraja utakmice, Hatem Ben Arfa je imao jedno top class proigravanje, dok je Coloccini maestralno komandovao odbranom. Davide Santon-a smo sve češće i češće viđali na protivničkoj polovini, što je ohrabrujuće. Newcastle United se do kraja meča znalački odbranio i meč lagano priveo kraju, bez nekih posebnih trzavica.

                        Posle 21. kola Premier League, nalazimo se na šestom mestu sa sakupljenih 36 bodova, koliko ima i petoplasirani Arsenal koji ipak ima bolju gol razliku. Ispod nas je Liverpool sa bodom manje. Sledeći meč je u subotu protiv Fulham-a na Craven Cottage-u. Idemo na pobedu, ali i bod je dobar.

                          PAPISS CISSE U NEWCASTLE UNITED-u



                          Newcastle United je u svoje redove doveo Papiss Cisse-a, napadača iz Nemačke ekipe SC Freiburg. Papiss Cisse ima 26 godina, potpisao je ugovor na pet i po godina i u Newcastle United-u će nositi broj 9.

                          Papis Cisse je Senegalac i igraće za tu reprezentaciju na Afričkom Kupu Nacija, ali je specijalno zbog medicinskih pregleda, fotografisanja i stavljanja parafa na ugovor doleteo iz Afrike.

                          Visina transfera iznosi oko 10 miliona funti.
