Monta Ellis is suddenly questionable to play on Friday against the Pacers because he was sick, and he did not go through shootaround.

Mike D'Antoni confirmed after shootaround that both Kobe Bryant (ankle) and Pau Gasol (foot) are expected to start on Friday against the Wizards.

Antawn Jamison will be the primary backup power forward behind Pau Gasol (foot) now that Gasol is healthy.

Jermaine O'Neal (calf, flu) will not play on Friday, and Jared Dudley (flu) is doubtful to suit up against the Timberwolves.

Darrell Arthur (neck) is expected to play on Friday against the Hornets.

There will be a call at 5 p.m. with press to update Derrick Rose's status as he attempts to return from knee surgery.
To be clear, we're not entirely sure if beat writer Kevin Arnovitz is joking or not, and nobody else has jumped on the idea of this press call. It's a bit dubious that a call would need to be scheduled, leading some to believe it could be to announce some bad news. That's pure speculation and we'll get some clarity sooner rather than later.
