Novak Djokovic filming cameo in Stallone’s ‘Expendables 2′
Stallone. Schwarzenegger. Willis. Norris. Van Damme. Lundgren. Djokovic?
The world's best tennis player is in Bulgaria filming a cameo for the upcoming Sylvester Stallone film, "Expendables 2." Deadline reports Djokovic was brought into the project by a producer and will play himself in a brief role.
It's a perfect first movie role for Djokovic, who has wowed crowds with his impersonations of fellow tennis players for years. Can't you picture him rattling off a cheesy one-liner in a hammy action movie with legendary actors playing characters loosely-based on themselves? (In my imaginary screenplay, somebody tries to take a swing at Djokovic and he counters by punching them with his right fist, all while not breaking eye contact with the model he's speaking with. Here's the most remarkable thing to me about Federer: Seems to me that the more you know about tennis, the more amazed you are by the guy. If you know nothing at all about tennis, he's amazing. If you know a little something about tennis—maybe you have played a few times in your life—he's more amazing. If you know a little more about tennis—maybe you played in high school and once had illusions of becoming a pro—he's even MORE amazing. And if you were a great player—if you are a McEnroe or a Connors or a Jim Courier—then Federer is preposterously amazing
